Me and my partner is always adventurous when it comes to food. We really love to try new things, especially if it's about food, those that are the most "hyped" or talked about. We even joined a popular FB group that showcases the most talked about new or old restaurants, or food places to go to. We all knew that Binondo is one of the best places to go especially if you're here in Manila. We always knew that this is one of the Foodie haven that everyone should try as well. Our trip was totally unplanned, we went for a tire shopping and we got hungry and since we're already in Manila, we decided to finally try what's the fuss with Binondo food trip. Our original destination (another popular resto) is already closed since it's past lunch time (this is common for chinese restos btw), good thing the security guard advised us to go to Ying Ying since it's always open even after lunch time and he pointed that Ying ying's food is delicious and cheap too. We went right away to Yuchengco St. where Ying Ying is located and lo and behold, the line is still full outside haha. We have this notion for restos with long queue and fully occupied restaurant that the food is definitely good (I think it's quite obvious, but hey would you eat with an empty restaurant right? hehe). So we waited for our turn to be called and luckily we didn't wait too long, because the only issue for me is the outside ambiance is quite unpleasing, all who ate here would understand what I mean. So the next thing we knew we were already seated upstairs. We ordered Yang chow, sweet and sour pork, and cold cuts since we saw it from a nearby table. haha. Yang chow is more than for two and sweet and sour pork is good too, the highlight for us would be the cold cuts, this is way too cheap than the cold cuts from Northpark but the quality is almost the same or even better :)

Cold Cuts - mixed of duck, chicken, asado, lechon kawali, mushrooms and the humble century egg (my favorite) |
We also tried almond sago and their milk tea and mind you guys, this is way too better than the hyped milk tea shops here in Manila, it is beyond comparison...
