Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina, Kapitolyo Pasig

Last Sunday, first order of the day is to fetch my beau from work since his shift has ended then make it to the church on time to attend mass. And lastly, to eat a hearty brunch. We decided to eat at Silantro in Kapitolyo. I can't say that we are regulars with an average of eating there once or twice a month. But we make sure to visit Silantro every now and then especially if there's an occasion. So to say, this would not be the first time that we ate at Silantro, I can still vividly remember our first experience dining at Silantro when we were in UP Town last May 2016, it was almost lunch time, we got curious with this restaurant because this was the only restaurant that was jam-packed and the queue outside is very long. We waited patiently for our turn and the rest was history! It was always worth the wait I can assure you! =)

Price on the menu was reasonable and the food was worth it. If you’re craving for a Mexican food with a twist of Filipino, you should try their food. Based on our personal experience, if you don’t want to line up go there in the opening hours before lunch time or late afternoon or early dinner time. This will save you time since they only offer limited seats especially in their Kapitolyo branch.

Must try would be for starter, order the Silantro’s quesadillas or the beef nachos. I can assure you that they are soooo yummy! For the main course, I strongly suggest the lamb chop (my personal favorite), cooked according to your preferred doneness, the serving is soooo huge, or try the silantro’s paella fajita mix (this is for sharing too), or the grilled marlin with their Mexican rice that’s sooo satisfying. Below are some of my personal favorites that you can try and will surely make you fall in love and come back again. =)

 Appetizer:
Beef Nachos, nachos to die for! This is sooooo good. Guacamole, garlic, and spicy dips are on the side (you can use it on the main course too 😁👍)

Lucha Tacos Completo - your choice of triple meat (We had the lamb, ox tail and beef) Yum!

Main course:
Lamb Chop, paired with mashed potatoes, you can also add mexican rice (mixed grains) on the side =)

Silantro's paella fajita mix 😘
Grilled Marlin if you're craving for seafood. Lather it with their oh sooo yummy guacamole dip for a mexican twist 😘. On my next visit, I'll try the grilled mahi mahi :)

Last but not the least would be their unli iced tea because i'm a fan of bottomless and house blend refreshing iced tea 👍😚
